History
In 1954 Tubbs Brothers, Inc. was founded by Donald and Cecil Tubbs.
Located in Sandusky, MI on the corner of West Sanilac and Austin streets, they sold Chrysler, Plymouth and Gulf gasoline.
In 1960 they acquired a Dodge franchise. Sales in the beginning were approximately $350,000.00 per year and soon their slogan was, "Right on the corner...Right on the price".
In 1970 the Tubbs Brothers acquired a Ford and Mercury franchise as well. Soon they found themselves out of space in the downtown facility and in 1976 began construction on their current facility located two miles west of Sandusky. In 1984, Cecil Tubbs, who had been a driving force in the service and sales department retired. As growth continued at the new location, the company expanded the body shop in 1990 and built a separate used vehicle facility in 1995. In response to the needs of customers and new technologies, a state-of-the-art collision center was built and fully outfitted in 1996. The old body shop has been renovated again into our automotive appearance and detailing center. In 2003 a million dollar renovation to the main facility was completed in which the entire building was modernized with a drive-in service write-up area, a Quick Lube Center and expanded and modernized service areas. We also added 24 hour towing and roadside assistance, including both flat bed equipment and four-wheel-drive wrecker for off road recovery. We have the ability to tow fifth wheel RV's as well as motorcycles. In 2012 we added a quick response vehicle that can provide fast fuel deliver, lock out services and accident scene cleanup.

The Tubbs Brothers team of over fifty employees is focused on one thing; providing you with the absolute best automotive sales and service experience. We know becoming an automotive superstore in a rural area requires that we go way above and beyond not only our local competition, but also dealerships throughout Michigan.
